Rehabilitation Workers
- Rehab workers fulfil their duties in an infinite number of ways and locations. A worker could be supporting people in a shared residential home, the community, at work or at play. With creativity, compassion and the client's wishes at heart, a rehab worker plays a primary role in assisting the person they are supporting to achieve a dream.

Family Services Aides
- Family service aides work with children with special needs either in the family home or in the community. Work usually takes place outside of school hours and can include recreational activities, developmental training or behavioral supports. Family service aides ensure that children with limitations are given the opportunity to experience all life has to offer.

Approved Home Operators
- Approved home operators and their families open their homes and hearts to a person with a disability, either on a full-time or occasional basis. Participants looking for support are matched with the type of home that best fits their need, personality and lifestyle choices. Approved home operators can be families, couples or single people. Remuneration provided is based on the amount of support required.

Qualifications:
The single most important qualification we're looking for is a sincere desire to make a difference. If you are interested in working in this field, we would like to hear from you. Beyond that, formal training or experience in Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology or Human Services will provide a solid foundation for your career at the Action Group.
We will also require:
  • A valid drivers license
  • A clear criminal record check
  • A driver's abstract & proof of insurance
  • An intervention record check (to work with children)

  • Employee Health & Safety Program. The Health & Safety Committee has representatives from Management, Human Resources, Family Services, Front Line Staff, and Residential Supervisors. The Health and Safety Committee meets quarterly to discuss concerns, goals and initiatives brought forward by the Health and Safety Representative. Injuries and incidents are reviewed as well as control measures used to minimize injuries and their severity. The Wellness Committee meets monthly to discuss various initiatives designed to create a positive work environment for all Action Group employees.
